From a small startup to a leading electronics marketplace
CircuitHub was founded in 2015 by Alex Chen, a former hardware engineer frustrated by the fragmentation in the electronics retail space. What started as a simple idea—to create a centralized hub for quality electronics—quickly evolved into a mission-driven company.
Our first warehouse was a 500-square-foot space in Silicon Valley, stocked with just 50 different components and gadgets. Today, we operate distribution centers across three countries and offer over 10,000 curated products to customers worldwide.
2015
CircuitHub founded by Alex Chen. Initial focus on electronic components for makers and hobbyists.
2017
Expanded into consumer electronics. Launched our first proprietary product line.
2019
Opened European distribution center. Reached 50,000 customers worldwide.
2021
Launched CircuitHub Pro for businesses and educational institutions.
2023
Introduced AI-powered product recommendations and expanded into smart home technology.
